The grandson of R.J. Reynolds has urged Ohio voters to support a ban on smoking in public places when they go to the polls on Nov. 7.
It is one of two smoking proposals, Issues 4 and 5, before the Ohio voters, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported.

Issue 4, backed by Big Tobacco, is a proposed constitutional amendment, would allow smoking-only designated smoking areas in restaurants, bowling alleys and other places,

Patrick Reynolds and the American Cancer Society are calling for a defeat for Issue 4 and a win for their Issue 5, a proposed state law that would ban smoking in workplaces and public places such as restaurants and bars.

“They’re not supporting (Issue 4) for your health,” Reynolds said. “They’re doing it to protect future profits.”
